Pakistani Dresses

Posted by Gail Cavanaugh on March 7, 2013 at 5:00 AM Comments comments (0)

The women at the Gail Women's Sewing Center have been busy learning how to sew Pakistani dresses and master the detailed handwork done on wedding gowns.  The traditional clothing is called salwar kameez and consists of a dress worn over baggy draw stringed pants or stringht legged pants.  The wedding gowns are quite ornate and sell for $250.00; a child's dress is $80.00.  If you would like to orderone, you may contact Bishop Raza at [email protected]  For photos of the dresses and handwork, please go to the Photo section of the Welcome Jesus Church website.

The sewing center needs financial support to purchase fabric, sewing machines, and other supplies for making dresses.  We also need Pakistani or Indian teachers who are knowledgable about making the clothing.  Please contact Bishop Raza if you are interested.

Here is a sample of the handwork

Gail Women's Sewing Center

The opening of the Gail Women's Sewing Center took place on January 10, 2013 at the Welcome Jesus Church in Gojra City, Punjab, Pakistan.  The church is under the leadership of Bishop Asif Raza.  The center will be holding sewing classes for women so that they can begin a dress making business and eventually ope a boutique.

Many of the women in this community have a desire to earn money to help support their families.  Jobs are scare or very low paying, making it difficult for the men to support their families.  The literacy rate is low because parents cannot afford to send their children to school.  Few of the men and women are educated.

Because of the feudal system and marriage customs in Pakistan, many of the women are abused.  They are not given a choice as to who to marry aand many of them reject or resist their husbands which causes them to be abused.  When they report the abuse to the police force, they are often raped or abused, mentally, physically, and sexually.  Because the husbands cannot afford to pay the excessively high rents, their landlords throw them into jail.

Some women flee to homeless shelters in an effort to escape the abuse.  They are taught how to live and work for themselves.  This sewing centere will give women the opportunity to use their gifts and talents to earn a living for themselves and sent their children to school.

Christian Marketplace & Fellowship Seeking Vendors

Posted by Gail Cavanaugh on September 19, 2011 at 11:35 AM Comments comments (0)

In answer to a need for Christians to be able to serve God by offering their products and services to the public, Gail Cavanaugh has started the Christian Marketplace and Fellowship.  It is comprised of Christian vendors and leaders on the Facebook group, Christian Marketplace, whether they be authors, worshipers, teachers, preachers, pastors, motivational speakers, and artisans.  It is a convenientt place to shop for inspirational materials.  The group's profile image is a "Rejoice " sign and is under the new group format.  If you arrive at the group with the Angels' Fury photo, this is not the right one.

When we are living in difficult times such as these, it is important for Christians and lost souls to be guided to the truth and to find the truth when they are seeking it.  Jesus said in John 8:32, "You will know the truth and the truth will set you free."

Our desire is to offer our products and services to the saved and the unsaved and make it covenient for our members to offer the products.  All marketing will be done by a marketing expert.  We are seeking sponsors and donations.  If you would like to be a sponsor, please contact me at [email protected].  Please make your donations in the sidebar.

New Book on Prosperity

Posted by Gail Cavanaugh on August 21, 2011 at 9:40 AM Comments comments (0)

Finally, I will be publishing a new book on prosperity which consists of all the teachings I received from the Lord and shared with the members of Prospering Christians on Facebook.  There will be some new material as well as a CD or DVD.

We are living in tough economic times which God can change if we would obe him and keep his commandments, claming the promises which he gave to Abraham.  In this book, I show you how to apply the scriptures on prosperity to your life.

I would recommend that you visit the site often for the next four weeks, as the book and CD's/DVD's should be ready by then.  I would also recomment that you subscribe to the blog.

New Christian Books

Posted by Gail Cavanaugh on August 17, 2011 at 11:35 AM Comments comments (0)

I have come across three new books recently that may be very beneficial to read.

The first is Plugging into Real Worship by Pastor Andrew Logan, Sr. which is an introduction into true worship. It is Biblically based and contains passages from the Old Testament to explain how God wants his people to worship him and what worship does for the believer.

The book is for anyone who has a desire to know what true worship is all about as well as the experienced worshiper who wants to have a deeper relationship with God.  Pastor Logan brings us into the life of King David as an example of how one who is totally devoted to God responds to God in worship.

The book is well worth reading and will leave you with a desire to really know God through worshiping him.

The second book is entitled Angels' Fury, by Scott Moerland, which is a fictional novel avaialable as an e-book about Lucifer's fall from heaven.  The author has created a very entertaining video to accompany the book.  Although the author has labelled this as fiction, it is based on the Bible.  My first impression, uopn viewing the video is that it would appeal to children as its theme involves the battle of good over eveil, which is a story that children typically enjoy.

The book is available at and can be vewed on the Kindle.

The third book is Anointed for Battle by Pastor Shane Brown which is a discussion on spiritual warfare.  Says Pastor Brown,  "My book goes into detail about many topics that a lot of people shy away from. Some of the topics include Spiritual Authority, The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, The Curse of the Law, The Pre-Tribulation Rapture, The Five Signs of a Believer, Exposing Witchcraft and the Occult, much more. My book is a training manual for the last days church to be well equipped and to walk in their full inheritance in Christ. The book is made in a style that the topics covered flow together."

In this book, How is Your Walk, Cherish Campbell shares her walk with the Lord as a newly converted Christian, in an attempt to help the new believer understand the difference between law and grace.

This doctrine is an important one as the newly converted Christian has experienced a new life through the relationship with Christ. Understanding this important concept will help the Christian to grow and deepen the relationship with the Lord.

The book is available through and Xulon press.

Christ Gospel Community International

Posted by Gail Cavanaugh on August 14, 2011 at 3:00 PM Comments comments (0)

Christ Gospel Community International is a church founded by a converted idol worshipper with an amazing testimony.  Pastor Simon James M grew up as a Hindu devotee in Vijayawada, India with his family who worshipped idols.   He came to know the Lord after his grandmother converted to Christianity and introduced him to her pastor.  His family sent him to a Bible college where he learned more about Christ.

Pastor James admits he was not a very nice person as he had a habit of abusing people.  However, he was abused, ridiculed and beaten when he became a Christian.  He came to know the passion and love of the Lord and decided he wanted to serve him, in spite of the beatings.

Now he is pastoring a church, evangelizing, and running some mission groups.  He is bringing the people of India to the Lord for healing and hope.  He wants to reach out to all nationalities, people from all backgrounds and life experiences.

Currently, he has mission groups, Youth, Children, Brotherhood, Men's, , Women's, Evangelism and Crusades, and the Ray of Hope, which is a ministry to orphaned and abused children.  With his work, Pastor Simon is committed to bringing God's blessings and healing to the body, souls, and minds of the brokenhearted." target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Pastor Simon James M is on Facebook and has a group" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Christ Gospel Church International there as well for his church.  If you are interested in supporting his mission, contact him on Facebook.  You can also contact him at:
